Final hours

You are all such beautiful people and it has been a pleasure seeing all your faces and getting to know some of you well..

I have many memories here at the library, most of which are in the 'fond' classification.
I have been challenged in my time working here, thanks to my wonderful supervisor, and other terrific managers. I have learned a lot and grown leaps and bounds.

While I'm not your average 23 year old, I am still young, and have far to go.
Adventure is my middle name, and the next step is sure to be a ball.
I hope many of you will remain in my big picture, and be around to share the experience that is life.

Keep being beautiful people,

Your Joshua

Learn a Test

So, the abundance of resources at the public library NEVER ceases to AMAZE meee.
I say this, partly because I just got back from CLiC, which is a sure-fire way to re-instill the passion I have for libraries, but also because when I go through the Learn-A-Test site, I think of at least 5 people I know who could benefit from different aspects it offers.

I scrolled through some of the different options, and finally decided to take part of the Citizenship course. I was given twelve questions, and I triumphantly aced nine of them. (Gimme a break, I haven't had fifth grade history for quite some time now..) I feel like all Americans should at least 'try' the full version of this test a few times in their life. I believe it would make us all better citizens and remind us both what our rights are, but also our 'duties' as citizens of America. Fo sho.

9 outta 12 ain't bad, I expected worse.

ps- that's Dan Osman. He's BA.
